“When numbness persists for a few hours or more, it can put a halt to a person’s day,” says Dr. Mummery. “A lot of patients end up having to take the day off work or cancel plans, simply because they are unable to speak properly. Drooling is also a common problem that can be very embarrassing.”
OraVerse works by counteracting the effects of anaesthesia. When a dental practitioner applies OraVerse during the treatment, patients see a drastic reduction in their recovery time.
“In most cases, the time it takes a patient to get back to normal is about twice as fast,” notes Dr. Mummery. “Although in some instances, recovery has been even faster. This means that shortly after leaving the dental clinic, a patient can expect to feel completely normal and have full function.”
Dr. Mummery concludes by noting that she offers OraVerse as an option in her practice and says it has been well received: “For people who need to get back to work or daily life, it is a really effective and affordable option.
