Toronto Academy of Dentistry Shows Continued Charitable Efforts

It seems that now more than ever, most businesses and organizations are making a much more concerted effort to focus on how they can use their profits or resources to contribute to organizations that are directly helping to improve the lives of those less fortunate. Whether you’re a small dental clinic or a big financial corporation, the effort to extend a helping hand has been encouraging.

The Toronto Academy of Dentistry is an organization that is composed of all the dentists within Toronto who belong to the Ontario Dental Association. However, many people aren’t aware of the phenomenal charity work that the Toronto Academy of Dentistry conducts on an annual basis. The group donates and supports several charitable organizations throughout the course of the year, most recently wrapping up their annual Ski For Kids event in Collingwood, which saw them donate the proceeds to the SickKids Foundation’s Cleft Lip and Palate and Craniofacial Anomalies programs.

The SickKids Foundation is a remarkable organization, with the work they do saving and changing the lives of thousands of kids and their families every year. The fundraising events held by the Toronto Academy of Dentistry perform a small part in helping the foundation to continue its extraordinary work.

Dentists for the Kids of Holland Bloorview is an annual golf event held by the Toronto Academy of Dentistry. The Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital is another organization dedicated to changing the lives of children and youth with disabilities and their partnership with the Toronto Academy of Dentistry actually extends over 30 years.

For children with special needs, the continued support of the Toronto Academy of Dentistry, combined with the facilities and programs provided by the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, has made a world of difference. The Academy’s commitment has been inspiring and the charities they have dedicated their time to are all more than worthy of every penny that has been raised.

At Etobicoke dental clinic Princeview Dental, we do our own charitable work within the communities we serve and our founder, Dr. Janice Mummery, is also involved directly with the Toronto Academy of Dentistry programs. We want to thank the Toronto Academy of Dentistry for being a positive example. It is our hope that other companies are motivated by their efforts as leaders in the charitable field of the dental industry.
